Design projects graded (see below) and final grades have been submitted. Have a great holiday!

Design Project Grades

First, I’d like to say that I was very pleased and impressed with all of the design projects. It was clear that everyone put a lot of effort into their projects. One of my goals in grading was to try to reward innovative thinking and overall effort. In the rankings and grades below, I tried my best to account for group size, different focus areas, and a wide variety of projects. The overall grades are based on a combination of presentation, report, and overall quality of design project. In the end, I felt that most of the teams were roughly equal while three groups rose slightly above. Congratulations to all of you for a successful design project and best of luck in your remaining courses and your careers.

Rank 1

Team 7 (57/60)

Team 3 (55/60)

Team 10 (54/60)

Rank 2

Team 1, Team 4, Team 6, Team 8 (52/50)

Team 2, Team 5, Team 9 (51/60)

Design project grades were assigned on a 60 point scale with 15 for presentation, 15 for report, and 30 for overall quality of the design project.

Overall grades for ECE445 range from 71% to 94%. Congratulations to Nori for the highest overall grade (by 0.08% J). I feel most of you did a very good job in this course and I was happy to assign 75% of the class a 3.5 or 4.0.

Schedule & Resources

Unless otherwise noted, homework will be turned in during class and all notes, labs, etc. will be posted on this website. We are only planning to use the Angel site for a forum for news postings, which will be detailed later.
